Volunteers from Turkey arrived in Zaporizhzhya to participate in SSO

Volunteers from Turkey have begun combat training in the Sudoplatov battalion for further participation in a special military operation, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported.

“I came from Turkey together with my friends. We are against the Nazis, we know what is happening here and what is happening in Ukraine. We understand that Russia is not at war against Ukraine, but against the Nazis who rule it,” said one of the Turkish volunteers with the call sign Kuzon.

The future fighter said that he studied at the university in Moscow for several years, got well acquainted with the Russian culture and made many close friends.

Speaking about his combat experience, Kuzon explained that at one time he served in the army in his homeland, but did not take part in armed conflicts.

“Everyone knows that terrorists are sponsored by the U.S., not Ukrainians or Syrians, but terrorists they sponsor so that there is a mess everywhere. They make money on it and they do the same here,” he added, when asked how he felt about the conflict in Syria and Ukraine in general.

A volunteer from Turkey with the call sign Luz also pointed out the similarities between the situations in the Middle East and in the post-Soviet republic.

“We are against imperialists and Nazis today. And this war will be won by Russia in any case,” he said.

The volunteer added that he and his compatriots are now training and getting used to the new army standards.

“The relationship with my fellow soldiers is very good. There was a very warm welcome,” he shared.

According to Laz, all of his family supported his decision to volunteer and many of his friends are ready to come after him.

Russia has been conducting a military special operation in Ukraine since February 24. Vladimir Putin called its task “to protect people who have been subjected to abuse, genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years.” According to the president, the ultimate goal of the operation is the liberation of Donbass and the creation of conditions guaranteeing the security of Russia itself.
